Step 2: Organize your Travel Documents and Insurance

You will need a current passport. Be aware that there are many countries with rules that you need a valid passport for the next 6 months from the date of your arrival. So not only do you need a non-expired passport, but also a passport that will be valid for the next six months from your travelling dates.

Apart from your actual passport, you should also keep an accessible passport photocopy in your hand. If there is a case of passport theft, this photocopy can help you out in situations. You can keep a physical photocopy as well as a digital one, as a double backup plan.

Having your Hotspot will reduce many stresses on your trip. You won’t have to worry about the data usage costs and international roaming fees, and you can be connected with your friends and family.

Also, if you are renting a car or travelling the whole day in you’re paid for a taxi; you can run out of your charging pretty soon. So make sure that you have a car charger in your bag.

Step 6: Travel Health Bag

Getting your prescriptions in a foreign country can be a very anxious process for you. Pack a travel health bag with all of your essential prescriptions. Make sure that if you have any regular prescriptions pack one week’s extra dosage as well.

Step 7: Pack Jet lag Tablets

Travelling to international destinations means that your sleep schedule will be disturbed, and it might end up making you sleepy throughout the day. So make sure that you pack jet-lag tablets in your travel health bag.

Step 8: Extra Contact lenses and Prescription Glasses

If you lose your glasses on the road, you wouldn’t be able to enjoy the whole trip. So make sure that you pack an extra pair of glasses and an additional supply of contacts. And pack it in a suitcase or bag that won’t be easy to lose.

If you are traveling internationally, be sure that you pack a toiletry bag for yourself. Sometimes we use a personal favourite brand that suits the best for our skin type or hair type. So make sure that you pack all of these essentials.

Some essentials that you should include in your toiletry bag are a toothbrush, hair comb, sunscreen, face and body lotion, lip balm, and personal hygiene items.

Step 10: Prepare a checklist for clothing essentials

Make a list of clothing according to your travel destinations and occasions. When you make a list of clothing essentials, do not overpack. Rather than overpacking, just pack smart. Include clothing that will be needed on your daily excursions, and include a fewer pairs of footwear that can be paired up with almost any clothing item. Include clothing items that can be used in a multi-way style, like a dress that changes into a skirt.
